“Big thanks to Seána and Aoife, what a fantastic presentation, really well delivered and both are made for presenting! The format was perfect, content is spot on, not too much science but what there was is easy to follow. The quiz is really cool as we weren’t expecting that and it keeps you engaged. Testimonials
  • “Powerful Stuff. It feels amazing to be reminded that I am not alone. It was a breath of fresh air. You ladies are the A Team.”
  • “Almost a year on from loosing my wonderful Dad, I watched this presentation by Seana and Aoife. I was very moved by their honesty and humility, and I felt so reassured to hear that many of my feelings and reactions have been normal. The reminder that the journey of grieving a loved one is so unique to everyone of us was so reassuring. The recognition of each person’s grief, and the understanding and kindness behind each practical coping strategy has really been of great benefit to me. I would definitely recommend giving yourself the gift of this presentation – it was a presentation that I would watch again repeated times over a number of months. Various little nuggets have really struck a chord with me at various stages. Sincerest thanks ladies.“

WHAT: Student Mental Health Education Programme
WHO: 3rd – 6th Class
WHEN: Dec. 2018
WHERE: In-class (face-to-face)
HOW: 4 x 1 hour sessions

Testimonials

“Aoife Hughes, from ‘BeWell-DoWell’ conducted/provided four seminars for our pupils in S.N. Colmcille. We are a small Gaeltacht primary, co-ed school. Our reasons for requesting her help were varied but anxiety with in our student group was the main concern.

The classes were provided to seventeen children in a mixed class environment (third to sixth). Aoife led them in discussion in a way that was engaging and free flowing, whilst remaining in control. She was well prepared and had a huge impact. Children took to her direct, no-nonsense approach. Her classes are still mentioned by them, some eight weeks later. The subject areas of being aware of other people’s feelings and emotional needs as well as recognising distress signs within ourselves and how we react to them were superbly dealt with.
It is our intention to have Aoife back in the very near future to provide a class/seminar/training to our parent body. They need to protect their buckets also.”

“Díreach nóta beag le buíochas a ghábháil as an seisiúin Dé Máirt agus le ra go bhfuil muid ag súil go mór leis na seisiúin eile. Deis a bhí ann suí síos le mo chailín beag agus labhairt faoi rudaí nach labharann muid de ghnáth futhu. Tá go leor foghlamtha agam féin! Bhí sé iontach é a bheith i nGaeilge mar gurb í sin an teanga atá againn sa mbaile agus ní raibh orainn dul i muinin an Bhéarla, rud a bheadh mí-nádúrtha agus mí-chompórdach go háirithe le hábhar chomh pearsanta seo. Teachtaireacht agus sampla iontach don óige – maith sibh! B’fhéidir go gcuirfeá mo bhuíochas in iúl do na háisitheoirí chomh maith.” (Sorcha, An Cheathra Rua, Co. na Gaillimhe)

Chuidigh siad go mór leis an fhoireann dul i ngleic leis na dúshláin a bhain le bheith ag obair ó chian, agus le cothroime éigin a fháil idir saol na hoibre agus saol an bhaile. D’fhoglaim an fhoireann neart seifteanna le cuidiú leo plé le dúshláin na hoibre.

Bhí sé go hiontach a bheith ábalta seirbhísí mar sin a fháil i nGaeilge, go háirithe seisiúin mhachnaimh, nuair a bhíonn daoine ag caitheamh a saoil bhaile agus oibre trí mheán na Gaeilge.”

“I completed a summer course with Aoife and Seána and I can wholeheartedly say it was one of the best courses I have ever done. I feel it was hugely beneficial on both a personal and professional level. It was something that I will definitely implement next year and that will increase the emotional well-being of everyone in my classroom. I would highly recommend this course. Keep up the good work girls”.
“Super course! Huge thanks to Seána and Aoife for your work, your research, your approachableness, your openness and your wealth of insight and knowledge. My greatest fear was that this course would be ‘fluffy’ – far from it. It was insightful, eye opening, thought-provoking, enabling and most of all PRACTICAL PRACTICAL PRACTICAL. I’ll be back!
“I attended the summer course with Aoife and Seána. This course was inspirational. Even if you took one tip from this course it would be so worthwhile for yourself and your pupils. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you!”

“The MHE Online Programme was incorporated into our online teaching and learning via Seesaw from Jan-March 2021 during the closure of our school. The content of the lessons is excellent and very engaging. We encouraged the children to do it with their family at home and received fantastic feedback from the children and their parents. The children lived the content and were very engaged  and the parents  spoke of how they enjoyed the conversations that were sparked at home during the lessons and that they enjoyed this time with their children. Due to the course being so accessible online, it has been great to look back and remind the children of what they have learned now that we are back in the classroom. I personally have gained a wealth of knowledge from the course for my own well being too.
I highly recommend this course. Aoife and Seana are incredible!”

Testimonials
“As a mother of 3 children, principal of a medium-sized primary school, and a person interested in personal development, I have read, heard and experienced quite a lot on similar topics already. The material that was presented in the ‘Be-Well-Do-Well’ workshop was extremely relevant, well-thought out and well-researched. It was delivered in a relaxed, calm way, bringing the presenters’ personal experiences to bear on a topic familiar to and important to us all. The workshop was promoted as being relevant to children and teenagers; I found that it was that…but it also struck a chord with the adults present, and I came away with ideas for putting into practice with both my children and myself.”
